I’m still in denial living in AZ and proceed to treat each growing season like it just a really, really hot day in Ohio ! ha! My zinnias, gourds, tomatoes, etc. are doing super well right now.
I love these things! I’ve also seen them referred to as stone plant, I think. I don’t have a sunny enough spot for succulents.

Lots of different succulents, like lots of different environments. We are learning so much right now about them, and there are SO many different kinds with different needs…I’m sure you could find one that works for you. They are certainly fun.
