Hello
I’m Stephanie. My dad is Steve.
We own and operate MileWide Nursery in the oak woodlands of Northern California. We are located in Zone 9. We grow Nigra Mandshurica Hydrangea, Black Mission Figs (Ficus carica), Cornus Kousa Dogwoods, Bloodgood Red Japanese Maples, and Oregon White Oak (Quercus garryana).
We recently purchased an array of succulents to play with (i.e. propagate), and they are doing SO well we will be adding them to our product list as soon as they are well rooted. We can’t wait to make them available to our customers, ’cause we love them, and we know you will too.
We have many other plants, Rosemarinus Officialis, Buckeye trees, Magnolias, and Cherry trees are a few, which hopefully will make the leap to our product list as well.
We have about 3.5 acres of olives planted – we expect oil olives in a couple of years. We planted five different varieties of olives which include; Leccino, Frantoio, Pendolino, Maurino, Taggiasca, and Arbequina. Pendolino and Maurino are the pollinators but will also bear olives.
This summer (and hopefully every one here after) we also have a large vegetable garden. We’ve started tons of seeds, some of which are Ocimum Basilicum (basil), Melansana Violetta Di Firenze (eggplants), Peperone Quadrato Rosso D’Asti (red peppers), Peperone Stavros (green peppers), Pomodoro Costoluto Fiorentino (tomatoes) and many more. We look forward to the bountiful harvest ahead. UPDATE: Our harvest was exquisite. Steve said it was/is his best pepper harvest ever. And the cherry tomatoes are devine!
Keep growing!
Stephanie and Steve
